The in-office procedure starts by using a nasal spray with an anesthetic agent to begin the numbing process. Shortly afterwards Dr. Bublik will place cotton soaked in a topical agent to further numb the patient’s nose and sinuses. During the painless procedure, the Sinus Balloon is gradually inflated to gently restructure the previously blocked sinus opening which helps to restore normal sinus drainage and function. Treatment time varies from 5-15 minutes depending on the complexity of the case, and most patients feel comfortable enough to leave our office and return to work or school the same day or the next.
