Many patients do experience an improvement in their allergies after sinus surgery or balloon sinuplasty. This improvement, while pleasant, is not necessarily indicative of allergies being cured.
Sinus surgery can widely vary, but the general goal is to restore natural sinus and nasal drainage pathways and help with breathing, headaches and facial pressure.
